How good is the Inmotion Air electric scooter?

Motor and battery

While the Inmotion Air offers entry-level performance aimed more at beginners and cautious riders, the Inmotion Air Pro offers slightly better performance. With its 500W rear motor, which can reach speeds of up to 35km/h, it's a far cry from the 25km/h that's the norm on public roads. It can also climb gradients of 18% (around 10°), equivalent to those generally encountered in town. Beyond this limit, performance will be greatly affected and driving pleasure less than optimal.

The battery is a 12 Ah, 36.5 V, 438 Wh lithium-ion battery with a range of 45 km. Designed for short trips around town, but also for occasional trail rides, it offers a more than satisfactory range for this type of use. There's also a BMS (Battery Management System) to protect the electric scooter's battery. The aim is to prolong and preserve the battery's power. The battery will need no less than 8 hours (without dual charging ports) to be fully charged.

This common combination offers several advantages: greater flexibility at the front and greater resistance at the rear.

Design

Like the Air model, the Inmotion Air electric scooter has a clean, simple, urban look. Everything has been designed with ergonomics in mind, thanks to fully concealed wiring that offers protection against vandalism and water. The 17-centimetre wide, non-slip footrests ensure a firm, stable position.

The LED display provides essential information while you're riding, such as speed, riding mode and distance travelled. Bluetooth functionality lets you connect your smartphone to the scooter via the Inmotion app. Finally, the headlight, which projects up to 15 m in front of you, makes it easy to see at night.

Like the Inmotion Air, the maximum user weight is 120 kg, which means that a large proportion of the population will be able to get their hands on this scooter. It weighs 17.7 kg, making it a very light electric scooter on today's market.
