👉 Got an electric scooter from our Hiley range under your feet and wondering how to set the different programs? You've come to the right place!

👉 Is your screen showing an E-00X error? You are also in the right place!

An LED backlit display

The basic display on your LED screen is for your speed, battery gauge, number of kilometres travelled and the speed mode used.

▪️ Mode 1 can go up to 15km/h

▪️ Mode 2 can go up to 25km/h

▪️ Mode 3 can go up to the maximum speed of your product (on private land, obviously 😉 )

BUT, there is an advanced menu that allows you to access different settings on your electric scooter. Since we have a lot of requests for these programs, we decided to explain them in an article. HOWEVER, we absolutely do not advise to modify these programs, in case of bad manipulation, your electric scooter could be damaged.

How to access these programmes?

#1 Turn on your electric scooter by pressing the Power button on the right

#2 Press the Power and Mode buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds (both buttons present)

#3 Press the Power button to scroll through the 10 programs (these are displayed instead of the speed)

#4 Press and hold the Mode button to change the program settings (located below the speed, it will start to flash)

#5 Keep flashing until it stops to save your settings.

If you are asked for a password, enter the following: 2626

List of programmes

Programme - P00

THIS PROGRAM MUST NOT BE CHANGED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. It corresponds to the size of your tyre. These are factory settings which, if changed, will result in the misuse of your electric scooter.

Programme - P01

THIS PROGRAM MUST NOT BE CHANGED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. It corresponds to the voltage of your electric scooter. These are factory settings, which, if changed, will result in the misuse of your electric scooter and therefore a short or medium term failure.

Programme - P02

THIS PROGRAM MUST NOT BE CHANGED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. This corresponds to the number of motor pole pairs of your electric scooter. These are factory settings, which, if changed, will result in the misuse of your electric scooter and therefore a short or medium term failure.

Programme - P03

THIS PROGRAM IS FIXED AND CANNOT BE CHANGED. It indicates whether you want the speed to be displayed or not.

Programme - P04

This program corresponds to the unit of measurement. Decide whether you want to display your speedometer in km/h or in mp/h. To do this, select 0 for km/h and 1 for mp/h.

Programme - P05

With this program, you can decide whether you want to start your scooter with or without help (by pushing with your foot, or not). Select 0 if you want to start without help and 1 if you want to start with help.

Programme - P06

This program corresponds to the cruise control. Decide whether you want to activate it or not. Select 0 if you do not want to activate it or 1 if you want to activate it.

Programme - P07

This program is used to set the start of your electric scooter. Select 0 for a powerful start and 1 for a normal start.

Programme - P08

This program corresponds to the percentage you decide to assign to the speed limit. You have the possibility to vary between 1% and 100%.

Programme - P09

This program corresponds to the intensity you wish to give to the braking. We recommend leaving it at 2 by default. Otherwise, you can set it to 0, 1 or 2.

What do the error messages mean?

We also get a lot of questions about the "E-00X" error messages that may appear on your screen. Even though we cannot certify 100% without analyzing the product of the problem that occurs on your scooter, the description of the errors can give you an idea about the repair that may be necessary on your product.

E001 - Possible engine problem

E002 - Possible accelerator problem

E003 - Possible controller problem

E004 - Possible problem with brakes

E005 - Problem possibly related to undervoltage or overvoltage

E006 - Possible motherboard problem

E007 - Problem possibly related to poor communication between the controller and the display
